What else do you think was of the utmost importance in selecting the Top 50?

• Ability to deal with fierce competition from its rivals.
• Best performance relative to their peers.
• Downsizing and readjusting to market downturn.
• Ability to perform in good and bad times.
• Market share, profits and revenues.


What was the criterion for judging companies from such different sectors?

• Market share, profits and revenues.
• Ability to expand its products to different areas other than the core.
• Evaluating the company within its sector and its peers.
• Having no criteria at all.

Although some of the companies from BW 50 have not had high profitability, they were selected top 50. What do you think was the key element to having been selected despite poor revenues?

• Ability to overcome the credit crunch.
• Having shown an improvement in sales.
• Innovation within its sector.
• Top CEO as the symbol of the company.
